Location: Joplin, MO
Full Time | Monday through Friday | Day Schedule
We are adding to our already amazing team! Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking a strong clinical leader to step into an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role in Springfield. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse who is ready to grow into leadership or continue building on an established leadership background.
As ADON, you will support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations, guiding nursing staff, and ensuring patients receive high quality, compliant, and compassionate care. You will play a key role in both the day-to-day success of the team and the long-term growth of the department.
What You Will Do
Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical operations
Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations
Assist with patient care oversight and clinical quality initiatives
Review and support care plans to ensure appropriate service delivery
Conduct staff education, training, and performance evaluations
Assist with problem solving, escalations, and clinical decision making
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
What We Are Looking For
Active Missouri RN license required
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
At least 2 years experience in hospice
Strong knowledge of clinical standards and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment
