About WeekdayDoc
We're building the only job platform that actually cares about physician burnout.
Our Mission
WeekdayDoc was born from personal experience. As a former Army physician, I served my country while sacrificing countless hours of family time. The demanding call schedules, unpredictable duty assignments, and relentless operational tempo took their toll. I felt burned out, exhausted, and disconnected from the people I loved most.
When I decided to transition out of military medicine, I faced an unexpected challenge: finding a civilian job that wouldn't repeat the same patterns. Every job board listed positions without the information that actually mattered—call schedules, weekend requirements, administrative burden, true work-life balance. I spent months searching, applying, and interviewing, only to discover hidden details that made positions unworkable for my family.
That's when I realized: if I was struggling to find this information, thousands of other physicians were too. We deserve better. We deserve transparency. We deserve to find dream jobs without sacrificing our families.
So I built WeekdayDoc—the platform I wish had existed when I was searching. Every job is scored 0-10 for burnout-friendliness based on factors that actually matter: call schedules, weekend requirements, administrative burden, autonomy, and work-life balance. No more surprises. No more sacrificing family for career. Just honest, transparent job listings that help physicians make informed decisions.
