WeekdayDoc was founded by Dr. Riley Konara, a triple board-certified physician and U.S. Army veteran who experienced firsthand the toll of physician burnout.
After 15 years as an Army physician, Dr. Konara missed his daughter's first words during a 24-hour call shift. That moment changed everything. He spent months searching for a position without call requirements, only to face countless wasted interviews where call schedules were revealed at the last minute.
Frustrated by the lack of transparency in healthcare recruitment, Dr. Konara surveyed over 1,000 healthcare professionals about their job search experiences. The results were clear: 87% wanted transparent salary information, 76% wanted to filter by lifestyle factors, and 92% were frustrated with aggressive recruiters.
So he built WeekdayDoc - the job board he wished existed when he was searching. A platform that puts lifestyle preferences front and center, shows real salary ranges, and connects candidates directly with employers. No empty promises. Just real opportunities to practice medicine AND have a life.
