Job Description
- Client: VAMC
- Location: Oklahoma City, OK
- Dates coverage is needed: as soon as credentialing/background is complete -1 year (with 4 option years) – Anticipated Start mid June/early July
- Schedule/Shifts Times: Monday – Friday, 8:00-am – 4:30pm
- Call Requirements: Average 1:3 call rotation
- Patient Ages: adults
- Type of Charting: EMR – CPRS
Procedures
Physician(s) shall be responsible for providing Interventional Radiology procedures, including, but not limited:
Arterial diagnostic & interventional (PTA, stents, thrombolysis, embolization, TACE, stent grafts, foreign body removal)
- Venous diagnostic & interventional (TIPS, thrombectomy, filters, portal vein embolization, venous access)
- Venous access procedures (tunneled/non-tunneled catheters)
- Additional IR procedures per ACR guidelines

- Requirements: Board Certified BLS, ACLS, DEA (Must be fellowship trained in Interventional Radiology)
- Reason for Need: staff shortage
- Credentialing Timeframe: 8-10 weeks on average

Moderate sedation competency required
MRI and fluoroscopy safety compliance required
Key Responsibilities
The physician will perform a wide range of arterial and venous interventional radiology procedures at the VAMC. Responsibilities also include participating in a 1:3 call rotation and maintaining accurate patient charting in the CPRS system.
Requirements
Candidates must be board-certified and fellowship-trained in Interventional Radiology with active BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications. Proficiency in moderate sedation and safety compliance for MRI and fluoroscopy is mandatory.
