About the Role
This single full-time opening combines direct patient care with clinical oversight of both the Los Alamos and Santa Fe locations. You’ll lead up to four staff Physical Therapists while continuing to evaluate and treat your own patients. The opportunity comes with a clear challenge: balancing your caseload with the guidance and attention a two-clinic team needs. Three to five years of experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Support consistent, patient-centered orthopedic care across both clinic locations.
- Maintain a patient caseload, providing individualized evaluations and treatment through 45-minute, one-on-one visits.
- Lead up to four staff PTs with clear expectations, clinical guidance, and constructive feedback.
- Strengthen therapists’ clinical decision-making through mentorship and shared learning.
- Coordinate clinical priorities across Los Alamos and Santa Fe so both locations receive effective oversight.
- Support accurate documentation, thoughtful treatment planning, and regular review of patient progress.
- Identify and address care-delivery challenges while preserving the practice’s nonoverlapping appointment model.
Active New Mexico Physical Therapist Licensure
- Strong orthopedic assessment and treatment skills to support direct patient care and clinical guidance.
- Ability to coach therapists, communicate expectations clearly, and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to balance a patient caseload with leadership responsibilities across two clinics.
- Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in Mountain Time, with responsibility for both locations.
- Three to five years of physical therapy experience, preferably in outpatient orthopedics.
- Previous experience in clinical leadership, staff supervision, or multi-site coordination.
- Experience mentoring early-career Physical Therapists or new graduates.
- Annual salary of $86,000-$123,000, based on experience.
- Continued hands-on patient care through 45-minute, one-on-one visits with no overlapping schedules.
- A supportive clinical culture with an emphasis on mentorship.
- A Monday-Friday schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.
- Scheduling flexibility, with starts as early as 7:00 AM or finishes as late as 6:00 PM Mountain Time.
- Relocation assistance is negotiable for candidates moving from out of state.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active New Mexico physical therapist license and possess three to five years of experience, preferably in outpatient orthopedics. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a patient caseload alongside administrative duties are required.
