Job Description
About the Role
You’ll help patients improve movement and function through individualized outpatient orthopedic care, without juggling overlapping appointments. Whether you’re building your clinical foundation or bringing established experience, you’ll join a setting that values focused treatment and ongoing learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans that help patients improve mobility, strength, and everyday function.
- Deliver focused orthopedic care through 45-minute, one-on-one appointments.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatment to reflect changing needs and goals.
- Give patients clear education and home exercise guidance that supports progress between visits.
- Maintain accurate, timely evaluations, treatment notes, and progress documentation.
- Share clinical questions and insights with colleagues to strengthen patient care and make the most of available mentorship.
Active New Mexico Physical Therapist Licensure
- Ability to assess patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
- Clear, empathetic communication that helps patients understand and participate in their care.
- Ability to document treatment accurately and use patient progress to guide clinical decisions.
- Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in Mountain Time.
- Outpatient orthopedic experience, including clinical rotations.
- Experience helping patients follow home exercise programs and work toward functional goals.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.
- Annual salary of $75,000-$110,000, based on experience
- Protected one-on-one patient time: 45-minute visits with no overlapping schedules.
- Mentorship and a supportive clinical culture.
- A Monday-Friday schedule of approximately 40 hours per week.
- Scheduling flexibility, with starts as early as 7:00 AM or finishes as late as 6:00 PM Mountain Time; some staff work 10-hour days.
- Relocation assistance is negotiable for candidates moving from out of state.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an active New Mexico physical therapist license and possess experience in outpatient orthopedics. Strong communication skills and proficiency with electronic medical records are required.
