Job description
RN-Nurse Educator
The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation is seeking to hire a self-motivated, outgoing and team-oriented Registered Nurse for a Full-Time Nurse Educator position.
Position Details
Some of your daily activities will include the development, implementation, and delivery of the nursing staff development programs including new hire orientation, in-service education, continuing education, competencies, and nursing student experiences.
This is an exciting position and key clinical role, providing leadership, staff support and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure that standards of quality care are achieved on a consistent basis.

The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a non-profit health care facility that offers inpatient programs such as sub-acute/short term rehabilitation, long-term care and nursing home care, as well as community health services encompassing certified home health care and a comprehensive community hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing home.

Qualifications
Current New York State RN license
College degree in Education or a related field
2+ years supervisory and clinical experience in skilled nursing, medical surgical nursing or related field
Prior educator or training experience (3+ years preferred)
Prior experience working with a learning management system (LMS) strongly preferred
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Educator will develop, implement, and deliver nursing staff development programs, including orientation and continuing education. They will provide leadership and clinical support to ensure consistent standards of quality care across the facility.
