Full-Time
The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a full-time Physician to join our team of dedicated specialists working in the Medical Department.
Position Details
In this role working alongside our caring, dedicated, and experienced Medical leadership, you will be responsible for the delivery of appropriate, adequate, compassionate and quality medical care of Parker's residents in coordination with other members of the health care team.

The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, conveniently located on the Queens-Nassau County border in New Hyde Park, New York, is a non-profit health care facility that offers inpatient programs such as sub-acute/short term rehabilitation, long-term care and nursing home care, as well as community health services encompassing certified home health care and a comprehensive community hospice program that serves terminally ill patients in their own homes or in nursing facilities, including Parker's nursing home.

Position Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of experience as an Attending Physician in a hospital with a geriatric population; or within a nursing home environment
A medical degree from an accredited medical school
NYS Board certification in a primary care specialty
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
Eligibility for hospital admitting privileges
Clean and active license to practice medicine in New York State
Proficient in SigmaCare or a similar Electronic Medical Record software

Key Responsibilities

The physician will be responsible for delivering compassionate and quality medical care to residents in coordination with the healthcare team. This role serves as a key clinical leadership position within the organization.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of experience as an attending physician in a hospital or nursing home setting with a geriatric population. A medical degree, NYS Board certification in a primary care specialty, and a clean, active New York State medical license are required.
