Position Summary
Conducts/interprets audiometric tests and develops methods/research material to aid in audiological studies and operations.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs/interprets audiometric tests.
- Assists in selection of subjects and works with patients in the selection/fitting of conventional and programmable hearing aids and cochlear implants.
- Designs methods to access the effectiveness of hearing aid and cochlear implant technology.
- Determines appropriate statistical method (s) for analyzing experimental findings.
Prepares manuscripts, graphs, photographs and tables for submission to scientific journals and professional meetings.
Prepares reports on project findings for funding agency and documents for Human Studies Committee, including Informed Consent Forms.
- Submits an annual report.
- Calibrates/maintains audiologic equipment.
- Assists in teaching activities of professional staff.
Recruits and Schedules research participants, maintains IRB protocols and study documentation, and supports daily lab operations.

Salary Range
$55,200.00 - $100,000.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
