Job Summary

In collaboration with the physician, provides care to new or established patients. Demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care.

Orders testing as deemed necessary and remains proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication and therapeutic regimen within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner.

These roles, undertaken in cooperation with nursing, staff physicians and other department staff, may include triage, telephone communication and patient education. Candidate may be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

The practitioner will collaborate with physicians to provide comprehensive patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Responsibilities also include ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, prescribing medications, and providing patient education within the urology department.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certification and license. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, along with a commitment to high-quality, collaborative patient care.
