Job Description

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy modalities and procedures as prescribed by a licensed physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Coordinates delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff, COTA, OTLA, and Occupational Therapy Aide.

Key Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers therapy modalities to restore patient function and prevent disability. They also coordinate and supervise supportive staff including COTAs and aides.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a current California Occupational Therapy license or be eligible for licensure and have completed clinical field work in an acute care hospital. A current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
