Provides and directs the provision of home speech therapy, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the speech therapy process. Employee will also be cross-trained within the inpatient SLP setting.

Education and Formal Training: Master's degree with a major in speech pathology. Holds certificate of clinical competence and license granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association. North Carolina license

Work Experience: EXTENDED TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERED FOR NEW GRADUATES!

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures, fire safety, disaster and infection control policies.
