Responsibilities & Requirements

The Nurse Navigator guides patients and families through the complexities of healthcare by coordinating care, providing education, and supporting timely access to services. This role serves as a consistent point of contact, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, patient-centered support throughout their care journey.

Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institutionMinimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or relevant specialty settingCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience in care coordination, patient education, or case management; oncology experience preferred if applicable to patient population Certification in a relevant specialty (e. g., Oncology Certified Nurse, Nurse Navigator certification) preferred

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing and possess a current Registered Nurse license in Ohio. A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care or relevant specialty setting is required.
