Counselor B (Sheriff)

Key Responsibilities

This position assists in implementing individual and group counseling programs within the Sheriff’s Department, which includes processing intake data for new cases and arranging sessions. Duties also involve leading group discussions, lecturing to therapy groups, utilizing therapeutic aids, and preparing necessary evaluations and reports.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or a related field is the minimum qualification, though an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Candidates must pass a physical examination, be available for shift and weekend work, and be able to work within a jail-secured environment.
