Job Description

The Clinton Presbyterian Community | In-House Therapy | Nonprofit Senior Living

A PRN Opportunity Where You're More Than Just Extra Coverage

Not all PRN therapy jobs feel the same. Some feel transactional, disconnected, or focused more on productivity than patient care.

At The Clinton Presbyterian Community, we believe therapy should be different. As part of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina (PCSC), you'll join an established in-house rehabilitation team within a respected nonprofit senior living organization where clinical quality, collaboration, and meaningful relationships matter.

Our PRN clinicians aren't simply extra coverage. They're valued members of the team who help residents regain independence, maintain mobility, and improve their quality of life. If you're looking for flexible PRN opportunities without sacrificing clinical purpose or team connection, we'd love to meet you.

Why Therapists Choose PCSC

  • In-House Nonprofit Therapy: Work directly for the community, not an outside contract therapy company.
  • Clinical Autonomy: Therapist-directed care with reasonable productivity expectations.
  • Meaningful Relationships: Build lasting connections with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexible Scheduling: PRN opportunities coordinated around your availability and department needs.
  • Supportive Team Culture: Collaborate with PTs, OTs, SLPs, nursing, and interdisciplinary professionals.

A Different Kind of Therapy Environment

At Clinton, therapy is integrated into the daily life of the community. Our clinicians work closely with residents and interdisciplinary teams to provide individualized care across different levels of service.

You'll have opportunities to treat older adults recovering from hospitalization or surgery, managing chronic conditions, or working to maintain their functional independence.

  • Clinical Opportunities May Include
  • Short-term rehabilitation and long-term care
  • Residential living and outpatient therapy
  • Orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation
  • Gait training, balance, and fall prevention
  • Functional mobility, strengthening, and endurance

Skilled Maintenance Therapy and Chronic Condition Management

Our continuing care environment creates opportunities to build relationships, support transitions, and see the long-term impact of your care.

A Team Where You Belong

We believe strong rehabilitation teams are built through trust, communication, accountability, and mutual respect.

Our in-house model allows PRN clinicians to work alongside a consistent team, develop familiarity with residents, and remain connected to the department. You'll collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary colleagues in an environment that values your clinical experience and professional contributions.

We want you to feel like part of the team—not just someone filling a shift.

Your Role as a PRN PTA

  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide skilled gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance training, and functional mobility interventions.
  • Progress treatment activities within the established plan of care based on patient performance.
  • Communicate changes in resident status and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
  • Support residents in achieving or maintaining their highest practical level of independence.

What We Offer

  • Flexible PRN scheduling based on availability and clinical needs
  • Competitive PRN compensation
  • Established in-house rehabilitation team
  • Supportive leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Opportunities to work with diverse diagnoses and patient populations
  • Mission-driven nonprofit organization committed to clinical excellence
