Brashear Family Medical has served Kaufman and the surrounding communities since 2007. Our providers enjoy clinical autonomy while working closely with an accessible physician-owner and a collaborative APP team. Three of the current APPs have been here over 12+ years.

Schedule

Flexible full-time schedules of 32–40 hours per week are available, with compensation prorated. Full benefits and paid administrative time are included at 32 hrs weekly. Part Time also available.

Patient care

All ages from 12 months+ with approximately 3 visits per hour

Compensation

$128,000–$155,000+; plus annual production bonus based on collections + Health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO

Typical starting compensation is $128,000–$135,000, depending on training. We are also very interested in experienced Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with a strong background in outpatient family medicine or primary care, and compensation up to $155,000+ may be available for highly experienced candidates.

The Position

This is a full-time outpatient position with no hospital responsibilities and no after-clinic call. Each provider develops a consistent schedule weekly within BFM's office hours. Paid administrative time is built into the schedule at approximately one hour for every eight to nine hours of scheduled patient care.

Evening and Saturday coverage is shared across the provider team, generally including one evening weekly until 7:00 p. m. and avg. one Saturday morning monthly. Part-time applicants may also be considered.

• Clinical practice
• Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care for patients age 12 months and older
• Evaluate patients, establish diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Manage common chronic conditions and provide medication management and refills
• Perform wellness visits, including Medicare Annual Wellness Visits and women's preventive care
• Perform office procedures such as joint injections, incision and drainage, punch biopsy, and lesion removal according to training and experience
• Provide patient education and participate in coordinated, value-based care
• Document efficiently and accurately in eClinicalWorks

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited U.S. Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner program
• Current or eligible unrestricted Texas PA or APRN license and national certification
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain it before beginning practice
• Outpatient family medicine, primary care, or urgent care experience preferred
• Comfort caring for patients across the lifespan and managing both acute and chronic conditions
• Strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to evidence-based care

Experienced applicants are preferred. Exceptional new graduates with substantial ER, ICU, or other relevant RN experience are also encouraged to apply.
