Physical Therapist Department Lead / Supervisor (PT) - Therapeutic Day Program
3319 N. Elston Ave. Chicago, IL | Clinic-Based | Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm - no evenings or weekends.
Compensation & Benefits
- Total Compensation Package: Valued between $98,000-$111,000.
- Annual Salary: $80,000–$90,000, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role
Eyas Landing - Avondale offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy through our Merlin Day Academy, a fully integrated educational and therapeutic environment for children ages 6-14 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs.
As a Physical Therapist (PT) Department Lead / Supervisor at Eyas Landing - Avondale, you will provide physical therapy to children and families while overseeing a team of Physical Therapists. You'll foster each child's mobility, gross motor development, and functional independence growth.
Responsibilities
- Providing individualized therapy and therapeutic rotations.
- Implementing therapeutic approaches such as DIR/Floortime, Developmental Treatment, Motor Skills Acquisition, and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM).
- Collaborating daily with occupational and speech therapists, as well as social workers.
- Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care.
Providing mentorship, clinical guidance, and performance feedback to Physical Therapists to ensure consistency in care delivery and growth.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Active Illinois Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) license through IDFPR
Experience providing behavior therapy services to children with autism and/or other neurodevelopmental differences
Working Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.
- Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.
- Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.
- Ability to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and possess an active Illinois PT license. Experience providing behavior therapy services to children with neurodevelopmental differences is required.
