The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supports residents in enhancing independence, safety, and quality of life by delivering hands-on occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Key duties include providing treatments per established plans of care, assisting with assessments, modifying activities, and educating residents and caregivers.
Candidates must be a graduate of an AOTA accredited COTA Educational Program and possess thorough knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles and practices, including assessing needs and providing care across all ages. Experience in outpatient and geriatric services is also required.
