What You Can Expect
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, Generally from 8-4:30
- The Audiology Assistant is responsible for providing technical/clinical/clerical support to Audiologists as required and maintains a case load of patients under the direction and licensure of the Audiologist.
- Provide direct patient care under indirect supervision from an Audiologist, which may include: patient preparation, interviewing patients, pediatric hearing test assistance, industrial hearing tests, hearing screening, hearing aid check appointments, hearing aid related patient counseling, leading support groups.
- Complete paperwork related to patient medical device ordering, repairs and contracts.
- Verify devices are ready for patient appointments.
- Clean, check, and troubleshoot assistive hearing devices.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2 years relevant experience
Licenses/Certifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
