Join UChicago Medicine as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Day Shift in Chicago, Illinois. We're hiring a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for the Respiratory Care Services department for a Full-Time, Day shift for the University of Chicago Medicine at our main campus in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL. Note: Our open position will be supporting the adult patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• EPIC electronic medical record.).

• Administers intermittent (Small Volume Nebulizer, MDI, etc.) or Continuous.

• Medication delivery therapy (bronchodilators, steroid therapy, mucolytics, etc.) as prescribed or via established and approved department protocols.

• Documents such procedures into the EPIC electronic medical record appropriately and accurately; in real-time fashion.  Properly assesses the patient during administration of such modalities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved and accredited Respiratory Care Program (at least two years in duration).

• Diploma or Certificate of Completion and Associate’s Degree from an accredited academic body.

• Demonstrates effective and accurate communication and documentation skills.

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board for Respiratory.

Benefits & Compensation

• Pay rate: $38.32 - $44.66/hour.

Work Schedule

• Full-Time position.

• Day shift only - no nights.
