Join the dedicated Hospitalist team at Buffalo Hospital, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality inpatient care and making a meaningful impact on patients and families throughout their hospital journey. As the primary physician during hospitalization, you'll lead patient care from admission through discharge, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional outcomes.

We provide a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency care services and many specialty services including: the Birth Center, Cardiac Center, Emergency Services, Sleep Center, Phillips Eye Institute, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, and Virginia Piper Cancer Institute.

Job Description
Provide comprehensive medical care for hospitalized patients in a supportive community hospital setting.
Review medical histories, assess patient needs, and synthesize complex clinical information to guide treatment decisions.
Develop and implement individualized care plans while educating patients and families throughout their hospital stay.
Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
- May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Practice Details
- Join 5 Hospitalist at Buffalo and Tele Hospitalist who cover evening and night shifts.
- 24 MedSurg beds plus 6-10 additional beds as needed
- 4 Special care unit beds (ICU type care) open ICU with 24/7 tele critical care available - no procedures required
- Avg. census: 12-14
- Encounters per day: usually between 12-15 but can go up-to 18
- Shift times: 15 weeks - Week start Tuesday with M-F: 7a-6p (admits till 5pm) and Sat-Sunday- 7a-7p.
Job Requirements
Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine and
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Internal Medicine
- Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required.
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges
- ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire

Pay Range
Pay Range: $350,100 to $366,400 per year
The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).

Requirements
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine and have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Applicants are required to be Board Eligible or Board Certified and possess an active, non-restricted medical license in Minnesota.
