The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building.

Are you a compassionate, skilled Respiratory Therapist who is passionate about helping patients breathe easier and improve their quality of life? We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team and provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in need.
Working under physician orders, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing and managing patients’ respiratory support needs, administering prescribed respiratory treatments, performing blood gas testing, and ensuring accurate and thorough clinical documentation. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical knowledge with attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care and support to patients in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols.
- Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
- Administer prescribed respiratory treatments using appropriate delivery methods and equipment.
- Perform blood gas testing and operate blood gas analyzers in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient medical records and departmental logs.
- Utilize the hospital information system to document care and access relevant patient information.
- Ensure respiratory care equipment is used appropriately and safely.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Qualifications and Requirements
Education
Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program with a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.
Licensure
Current New York State Respiratory Therapist license required.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical ventilation, blood gas analyzers, respiratory treatment delivery systems, and related medical equipment.
- Ability to operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of hospital information systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team while maintaining professional standards.
Salary Range
USD $46.26 - USD $59.53 /Hr.

Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program with at least an Associate of Applied Science degree. A current New York State Respiratory Therapist license is required for this position.
