Job Details: Job Location: Rice Community Hospital - Lyons, KS, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Occupational Therapist Department: Rehabilitation Services Reports To: Rehabilitation Services Manager/Director Employment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides occupational therapy services to patients whose ability to perform daily activities has been affected by injury, illness, disability, developmental conditions, or other health-related factors. The Occupational Therapist works collaboratively with patients, families, providers, and other members of the healthcare team to promote independence, safety, and functional outcomes.
Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Licensure Licensed in the state of Kansas and able to follow the State Practice Act. Experience Previous occupational therapy experience preferred but not required.
Experience in hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or similar healthcare settings preferred. Essential Functions Patient Care Performs occupational therapy evaluations and assessments. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
Provides therapeutic interventions designed to improve function, independence, and safety. Monitors patient progress and modifies treatment plans as appropriate. Educates patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies.
Participates in discharge planning and continuity of care activities. Documentation and Communication Completes evaluations, treatment notes, progress updates, and discharge documentation accurately and timely. Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.
Participates in interdisciplinary collaboration to support patient care and organizational goals. Professional

Ability to work in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases and other occupational hazards. Working Conditions Works in hospital, outpatient, rehabilitation, and other patient care settings. Interacts regularly with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
May be required to work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.
