Social Worker, Duty and Assessment Team

Key Responsibilities

Social Workers in this role undertake family assessments, Section 47 enquiries, private fostering assessments, and assessments of homeless young people aged 0-19 years old. The work is short term, with longer-term intervention cases transferred to other support teams.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience working directly with children and families, including completing assessments that form the basis of effective plans. A strong knowledge of legal and policy frameworks that mandate social work practice is also required.
