Physician Assistant, Sports Medicine | COPA

Concord Orthopaedics is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing Sports Medicine team.

As a physician-owned, independent orthopaedic practice, Concord Orthopaedics is committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered musculoskeletal care throughout New Hampshire. The Physician Assistant will work closely with our orthopaedic surgeons to evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. This position offers a combination of office-based clinical care and operating room responsibilities, with opportunities to perform procedures, assist with surgeries, develop treatment plans, and guide patients through recovery and rehabilitation.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order diagnostic imaging including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, arthritis, ligament injuries, and other injuries.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, including patient education, wound care, and monitoring recovery.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with the orthopaedic team.
• Perform in-office procedures including joint injections, suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Assist orthopaedic surgeons with surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Educate patients on treatment options, rehabilitation, exercise, injury prevention, and other strategies to support recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and assist with procedure and surgical scheduling.
• Participate in department meetings, training, continuing education, and other professional development activities.

Schedule & Clinical Responsibilities

• Call obligation: 2 times per month
• Acute Injury Clinic: Saturday coverage approximately 4 times per year
• Combination of office and operating room responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Active Physician Assistant state licensure.
• BLS/ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Previous experience in orthopaedics or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, orthopaedic conditions, and treatment options.
• Experience with joint injections, casting, suturing, or similar procedures is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the broader healthcare team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
