We are seeking an experienced Neurohospitalist to enrich our group in Glen Burnie, MD. This role offers the opportunity to work within a community hospital setting alongside a collaborative group of physicians dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in acute inpatient management of patients with neurologic disorders. Here’s what awaits you:

Engaging Practice Scope

  • 7on/7off schedule
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with neurologic conditions.
  • Routine inpatient consults in the ICU, med floors and Emergency Department
  • 46 bed closed ICU
  • Onsite vascular neurologist

Qualifications

  • Possess a Medical degree, completion of medical residency.
  • Possesses and maintains current Board Certification or Board eligibility in Neurology
  • Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required or ability to acquire an unrestricted license.
  • Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
  • Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
  • Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
  • Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, organization skills are required.

Compensation

Pay Range: $375k + – requirement of 168 12-hour shifts

Additional compensation options available for discussion include a $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a productivity bonus.

Key Responsibilities

The Neurohospitalist will perform comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with neurologic conditions in an acute inpatient setting. Responsibilities include providing routine inpatient consults across the ICU, medical floors, and the Emergency Department.
