Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Pediatrics, the Nurse Practitioner will perform outpatient Newborn visits Sick visits School physicals Immunizations General pediatric procedures Review medical histories Interpret diagnostic tests Diagnose patient injury/illness and provide appropriate treatment and education Flexible shifts: Mondays - Fridays, Saturdays and Per Diem Qualifications
Required Education & Other Credentials
Current and unrestricted Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner Maintain current CPR/BLS Certification Maintain continuing medical education PREFERRED SKILLS (Not Required): Proficiency in: Spanish, Portuguese, K'iche, Cape Verdean Creole 2+ Years Nurse Practitioner experience under a collaborative
Key Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will perform outpatient pediatric services including newborn visits, sick visits, and school physicals. They are also responsible for diagnosing patient illnesses, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing appropriate treatment and education.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current and unrestricted Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license along with DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance registrations. Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner and current CPR/BLS certification are also required.
