Shift Details: A week: Mon 2300-0600 B week: Mon, Tues, & Fri 2300-0600; Sat & Sun 2359-0600 Pattern repeats every 2 weeks. Holidays as assigned.
Job Summary
Responsible for triaging incoming calls to the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW) After Hours Answering Service from patients, caregivers, or other health care providers.
Triage RN assesses the patient's needs and provides appropriate clinical options through the guidance of the triage protocols which may include education regarding immediate care advice and preventative behavior.
Patient calls to the After Hours Answering Service are documented using a telephone encounter in Epic, the electronic medical record.
Experience Description
A minimum of five years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care is required. Seven or more years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care is preferred.
Education Description
Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Licensure Description
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).

Pay is expected to be between: (expressed as hourly) $29.70 - $46.04. Final compensation is based on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiter during the interview process.

Requirements
Requires a minimum of five years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care and a current Wisconsin or NLC Registered Nurse license. Completion of an accredited nursing program is mandatory, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
