Responsibilities

The Mental Health Tech provides care, support, supervision and safety for patients on an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and under direct supervision of an RN to ensure the provision of quality patient care.

Schedule: FTE: 0.90 (3-12's)

  • Hours: Nights
  • Days: Variable
  • Location: St. Augustine, FL

Qualifications

Education/Training

Required: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Experience

  • Required: 0 - 1 year Mental Health Unit/Direct Patient Care
  • Preferred: Experience working with patients in a mental health care setting.
  • Certificates/Licenses/Registration

Required

Basic Life Support (BLS) provided by American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of employment.

WELLE Certification. WELLE training (Non-Abusive Psychological & Physical Intervention) within 90-days of employment; annual re-certification will be required thereafter.
