Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) screening in NICU settings across three hospital campuses
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology examinations on newborns
- Collaborate with NICU staff and neonatologists to coordinate patient care
- Document screening results and develop follow-up care plans
- Provide non-surgical and surgical ophthalmology interventions as needed
Key Responsibilities
Perform Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) screenings in NICU settings and conduct comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology examinations on newborns. Collaborate with neonatologists to coordinate patient care and provide necessary surgical or non-surgical interventions.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatric Ophthalmology with a valid Texas medical license. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required, and fellowship training is preferred.
