Position Highlights
Internal Medicine
- Examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions.
- Order medically necessary tests, perform follow-up visits, and place referrals to specialists when needed.
- There is full access to several sub-specialists, imaging, lab services, patient education and more within the Kelsey-Seybold system.
- Interpret basic medical tests and imaging in planning care for our patients.
- EPIC electronic health record is used throughout our organization for patient care which is important for collaboration across the system.
- See patients in office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
Internal Medicine physicians are supported by nursing and administrative staff. Depending on your assigned call group, you will take periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients.
Typically, you are not required to stay overnight in hospitals and certain call groups have nocturnists managing admissions overnight.
Family Medicine
Family Medicine physicians specialize in caring for the physical, mental and emotional well being of their patients and their families. They are trained to care for all ages, from children age 5 to senior adults. Because family practitioners are trained to treat the whole person, these specialists diagnose and treat the full range of problems people bring to their doctors.
See patients in an outpatient setting Monday-Friday from 8a – 5p to include new patients as well as corporate physicals.
Participate in the Family Medicine Call single call group. On-Call for the group is about once per month, either on the weekday or weekend day. The weekend day is shared with another physician. Call consists of answering phone calls from patients of physicians in the call group.

Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD, DO)
- Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine
- Valid DEA license, or the ability to obtain prior to employment
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $384,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.

Key Responsibilities
Physicians will examine and treat patients, order medically necessary tests, and manage patient care plans within the Kelsey-Seybold system. They are responsible for maintaining high-quality patient satisfaction and collaborating with sub-specialists and nursing staff.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Medical Degree (MD or DO) and be licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas. Board Certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine and a valid DEA license are required.
