Job Description
Description. This is a contract, on-site position offering a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Locum physician, you will play a vital role in supporting our team and ensuring continuity of care for our patients.
In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of obstetric and gynecologic conditions, manage prenatal and postnatal care, and perform necessary procedures and surgeries. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes, and you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to excellence in women's health. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostic tests, and screenings
- Manage prenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal care
- Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions, including reproductive health disorders
- Perform surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and gynecologic surgeries
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required
- Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or active board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including clinical rotations or practice
- Proficiency in performing obstetric and gynecologic procedures and surgeries
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
- Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred
- Eligibility to work on-site in Davenport as a contract physician
Schedule: 24-hour shifts
Monthly Volume: 80-100 deliveries
Level I Nursery
Must be board-certified
Paid travel and expenses
