Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Ob/Gyn

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages
• Perform routine examinations, diagnostic tests, and screenings
• Manage prenatal, labor, delivery, and postnatal care
• Diagnose and treat gynecologic conditions, including reproductive health disorders
• Perform surgical procedures, including cesarean sections and gynecologic surgeries
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required
• Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or active board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• Associate-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology, including clinical rotations or practice
• Proficiency in performing obstetric and gynecologic procedures and surgeries
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
• Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred
• Eligibility to work on-site in Davenport as a contract physician

Schedule: 24-hour shifts

Monthly Volume: 80-100 deliveries

Level I Nursery

Must be board-certified
