Position Overview

Shift Coverage

Seeking a provider for OB call coverage on a rotating basis every 5th week of the month. Exact dates for coverage are yet to be finalized.

Hospital Coverage

24/7 coverage required, including 2 hours of complimentary patient care.

Coverage Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit
• Emergency Department
• Surgical services

• Addressing acute and urgent surgical needs
• Clinic consultations exclusively for emergent cases to assess potential hospital admission.

Employment Timeline

• Start Date: September
• End Date: January 2, 2027

Patient Load

• Anticipated volume of 4 deliveries per day.

Support Staff

• Accompanied by 2 Nurse Practitioners (NPs).

Electronic Health Record (EHR) System

• Utilization of Cerner for patient documentation and management.

Shift Specifications

• 24-hour call coverage every 5th week.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (mandatory).

• Active Michigan medical licenses (mandatory; no exceptions).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN (mandatory).

• Local candidates are preferred, as travel expenses will not be covered.

• National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) report must be obtained within the last 30 days (required at the time of application).
