Job Summary
ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking a Physician Assistant or ACNP for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Toledo, Ohio.
- Schedule Hours- 12-hour shifts (total 12-13/month)
- 50% Day & 50% Night shift coverage required
- Holidays & Weekends Required, NO Call Required
- Join a team of seven Physicians and two Advanced Practice Providers
- Patient Volume: 4-5/day
- 100% Inpatient position
- Open to new graduates
- Requires Pediatric Acute Care certification for Nurse Practitioner applicants
As the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA), you provide and manage advanced medical care for acutely and critically ill adults with complex conditions.
You will work in collaboration with attending physicians and the interprofessional team across the acute care continuum – observation units, general acute care, critical care/ICU and the Emergency Department.
The ACNP performs comprehensive assessments, formulates differential diagnoses, orders and interprets diagnostics, initiates and adjusts treatments while delivering high-reliability, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Master's Degree of Nursing Practice (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with an Acute Care focus (e. g., Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP) for ACNP applicants
- Master’s degree for Physician Assistant applicants.
- Certificate of Authority to practice.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e. g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
Years of Experience: New graduates with robust acute/critical care RN experience, strong preceptorships, or fellowship completion will be considered based on service needs.
License: Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN/NP) license in the state of practice (or eligibility at time of hire).

Requirements
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies and possess the appropriate state licensure. A Pediatric Acute Care certification is required for Nurse Practitioner applicants, along with current AHA certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
