Locum :MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist;Internal Medicine

This on-site, contract position provides an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care within the Medical Practice industry.

As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for managing patient care in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality treatment and support for patients with a variety of medical conditions. This role is critical in optimizing patient outcomes and enhancing the efficiency of the hospital's services.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists to ensure optimal care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about health management
• Participate in patient care rounds and case discussions
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
• Adhere to hospital policies and best practices in patient safety

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in Internal Medicine or relevant clinical experience
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and environments

Schedule: 24-hour shifts (8 hours onsite)

Facility: Long-term acute care hospital

Duties: Rounding, admitting, and discharging

Must be board-certified
