The Assistant Director of Nursing serves as a key member of the nursing leadership team, partnering with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations, regulatory compliance, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

The ADON provides clinical leadership, supports daily nursing operations, assists with employee development, and serves as a resource to nursing staff, residents, and families.

Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management of nursing services and clinical operations. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to nursing staff. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and organizational policies.
Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluating nursing employees. Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, and resident satisfaction initiatives. Support staffing coordination and help maintain appropriate staffing levels. Participate in survey preparation, audits, and regulatory inspections.
Assist with infection prevention, risk management, and resident safety programs. Investigate concerns and collaborate on corrective actions when needed. Promote effective communication among residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

Minimum of three years of nursing experience. Prior supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare. Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and long-term care operations. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Long-term care or skilled nursing experience.
