Job Description

About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare, one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.

Tia is seeking a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant to lead clinical care and provider teams across an assigned market. As Market Medical Director, you will help ensure that patients receive consistent, high-quality care and that clinical teams have the support, coaching, and resources they need to succeed.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will oversee clinical medical directors and staff providers who serve patients in your market. The team may include primary care and women’s health providers, and acupuncturists.

You will partner with market leadership, clinical operations, and clinic operations managers to improve clinical quality, patient access and experience, provider engagement, and operational performance. As a member of Tia’s clinical leadership team, you will help translate company priorities into effective clinical practices.

This role combines clinical leadership with direct patient care, with approximately one day per week dedicated to seeing patients.

What You’ll Do

Partner on Market Performance and Growth

  • Work with market and clinical operations leadership to improve patient access, patient experience, team engagement, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support new clinic openings, market events, and other growth initiatives.
  • Support relationships and initiatives with local healthcare partners, as applicable.
  • Help teams adapt to changing needs while maintaining high standards of care.

Provide Direct Patient Care

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care and/or gynecological services within your training and scope of practice.
  • Perform in-office procedures consistent with your clinical expertise.
  • Maintain approximately one day of patient care per week, based on market needs.
  • If a physician, serve as a collaborating physician for nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants, as applicable.
  • What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing clinical teams.
  • Active licensure in the state where the role is based.
  • Strong clinical expertise in primary care and/or gynecology.
  • Ability to travel regularly between clinics within the assigned market.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Leadership Skills and Approach

  • A thoughtful people leader who develops others through coaching, feedback, and shared accountability.
  • A collaborative partner who understands the connection between clinical quality, patient experience, and sustainable operations.
  • A strong listener who welcomes input and handles difficult conversations with professionalism.
  • Comfortable using data to make decisions and translating business priorities into effective clinical practices.
  • Comfortable with technology and delivering high-quality care through telemedicine.
