About Serova
Serova builds personalized cancer vaccines. Each vaccine is made for the individual patient from their own samples and given in partnership with their treating physician. We're opening our own clinic in Bozeman, Montana, where patients will receive experimental therapies, including through expanded access.
The Role
We're opening our own clinic in Bozeman, Montana, to treat patients with experimental therapies. You'll be the clinic's medical director, responsible for the treatment we deliver there and its safety. You don't need to live in Bozeman, as long as you're willing to travel there when needed.
What You'll Do
Set the clinical model: criteria for patient review, consent, treatment and follow-up, agreed with our regulatory team
Oversee all treatment delivered at the clinic, in line with Montana's experimental treatment center requirements
- Act as the clinic's safety officer: safety reporting, escalation and emergency drills
- Keep the record of every experimental treatment given, patient outcomes, and each product's current FDA status
- Set competency standards and training for the medical staff
- Arrange medical cover and hospital escalation and transfer agreements
- Lead case discussions with our scientific team and each patient's treating oncologist
- Hire the lead nurse and clinical team, with our head of clinic operations
Who You Are
- A medical oncologist who has run investigational treatment and wants to build something new
- You take safety seriously without slowing everything down
- High agency, friendly and low ego
Requirements
- MD or DO, board certified in medical oncology
- A Montana medical license, or willing to get one before treating patients
- Investigator experience with immunotherapy or other investigational therapies
- Up to date with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Authorized to work in the US
- What will make you stand out
- You've built a clinic or research service
- Expanded access, single-patient or cohort
- Managing immune-related toxicities
- Ties to major US cancer centers, or strong community oncology relationships
- Molecular tumor board experience
- Montana healthcare relationships
Details
Location: Flexible. You don't need to live in Bozeman, but you'll travel there regularly once the clinic opens.
Type: Full-time or 3 days a week
