Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Location: California Facility 44871 Saint Andrews Church Road California, MD

Schedule: 11:00 p. m.–7:30 a. m. Starting Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour before applicable differentials

Job Summary

Pyramid Healthcare is dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered behavioral healthcare. Our California, Maryland, facility offers outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for adults experiencing substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring disorders, and problem gambling. We also provide psychiatric services, including medication management.

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing direct care, interacting with and supervising clients, supporting treatment-plan objectives, and maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete the intake process with new clients entering the program.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client documentation.
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medication, as applicable.
  • Coordinate client activities and provide direct supervision.
  • Follow treatment-plan objectives and address client-specific needs.
  • Evaluate clients’ behavioral and emotional needs and provide appropriate responses, including crisis intervention.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, orderly, and therapeutic environment.
  • Assist with clients’ dietary needs.
  • Complete all required and mandatory training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Behavioral health or general healthcare experience preferred.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Strong communication, observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills preferred.
