Job Description
Location: 2122 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 - Cross Streets: N Scottsdale Rd & E Oak St Status: Part‑Time Schedule: * Minimum of 4 shifts per month required * 12‑hour shifts; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, seven days a week Compensation: Competitive compensation (based on experience) + bonus + supervisory stipends
Position Summary
We are seeking a Part‑Time clinician to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast‑paced, well‑supported urgent care environment.

You'll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real‑time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low‑acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)
- Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Code and bill services appropriately
- Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Arizona license for MD/DO
- Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
- Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- Active BLS certification
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
- Strong procedural skills (e. g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
- Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read

Requirements
Requires an active, unrestricted Arizona license for MD/DO and board certification or eligibility. Candidates must possess an active DEA license and BLS certification, with preference given to those with prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
