Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Perform physical exams, take medical histories, and provide treatment for acute illnesses (e. g., infections, rashes) and injuries (e. g., sprains, minor fractures, lacerations).

• Diagnostics: Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests (e. g., strep, flu) and X-rays.

• Procedures: Perform minor surgical procedures, including wound closure, abscess incision and drainage, and foreign body removal.

• Treatment Planning: Prescribe medications, administer vaccinations, and provide patient education on follow-up care.

Requirements

• Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.

• Experience in urgent care preferred.

• Strong knowledge of physiology and acute pain management techniques.

• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and their families.
