Physical Therapist Assistant
The Shores | 2201 Bay Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226 | Per diem
Earn $40 an hour as a per diem PTA and pick the day shifts that fit your life. Weekend shifts are there if you want extra hours, never required.
At The Shores, a United Methodist Communities senior living community in Ocean City, you'll help residents in skilled nursing and short-term rehab get stronger, move more safely, and get back to the things they love.
What You'll Do
- Treat residents following the plan of care set by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Lead mobility, strength, balance, and gait training
- Help residents practice everyday tasks like walking, transfers, and stairs
- Track progress and let the supervising PT know about changes or concerns
- Document each treatment accurately and on time
What You'll Need
Required
Active New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
Preferred
- Experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute rehab, or home health (newly licensed PTAs are welcome to apply)
- Experience with Net Health Therapy documentation

Key Responsibilities
Provide treatment to residents according to care plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist, including mobility, strength, balance, gait, and everyday-task training. Track residents’ progress, report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist, and complete accurate, timely treatment documentation.
Requirements
An active New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing is required. Experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute rehabilitation, or home health and familiarity with Net Health Therapy documentation are preferred; newly licensed PTAs are welcome.
