Job Description

  • 36 hours of direct patient care and four hours of protected administrative time

You’ll work with a collaborative team of seven physicians, one APP, one pharmacist clinician, and two Certified Diabetes Educators. The comprehensive diabetes program provides APP, pharmacist clinician, and Certified Diabetes Educator support.

Additional Job Description

For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC or AANP certification required. Minimum of one year experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting in family practice, internal medicine or geriatrics.

For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for individuals with diabetes, thyroid conditions, and other endocrine disorders within a collaborative medical group. Manage a patient panel while utilizing electronic medical records and working alongside physicians, pharmacists, and diabetes educators.
