Practice Highlights
- 36 hours of direct patient care
- 4 hours of administrative time
- 16-18 patients per day
- Support team including MA, RN, Clinic Manager
- No call obligation
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients within the scope of specialty practice.
- Exercise independent medical judgment and clinical decision-making in the care of all assigned patients.
Establish, maintain, and manage effective physician-patient relationships that promote high-quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
Quality & Performance Improvement
Participate in system-wide population health and health management initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
Support the development, implementation, and adherence to clinical quality, safety, and service excellence standards.
Contribute to performance improvement efforts focused on patient experience, quality metrics, access, and operational efficiency.
Promote cost-effective and appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.
Patient Experience
- Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Foster a culture of service excellence and patient-centered care throughout the practice.
Additional Job Description
For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC or AANP certification required. Minimum of one year experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting in family practice, internal medicine or geriatrics.
For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required.

Requirements
Nurse Practitioner applicants must have a master's degree in nursing, a New Mexico NP license, federal and state DEA licenses, ANCC or AANP certification, and at least one year of relevant experience. Physician Assistant applicants must meet the stated education or experience pathway, hold a New Mexico license, and preferably have at least one year of experience.
