Job Summary

Renders Physical Therapy evaluations and treatment procedures and techniques appropriate to the needs of individual patient. Assesses, treats, and cares for patients of all ages.

Job Duties

Performs Physical Therapy evaluations according to departmental policy and the needs of the individual patient.

  • Establishes appropriate measurable goals in patient treatment and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Administers an appropriate and effective physical therapy treatment program.
  • Performs discharge planning responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
  • Performs all documentation responsibilities pertinent to patient care legibly and in compliance with departmental policy.
  • Promotes and assures patient, employee, and visitor safety at all times.

Participates in departmental and interdepartmental operations in a responsible manner to foster and maintain an efficient working environment.

  • License/Certification Requirement: Must hold a PA license in Physical Therapy.
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.

Key Responsibilities

The physical therapist will perform patient evaluations, establish measurable treatment goals, and administer effective physical therapy programs. They are also responsible for efficient discharge planning and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with departmental policies.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in physical therapy and a valid Pennsylvania physical therapy license. A minimum of two years of related work experience is preferred, and a Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
