Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Beaches location. This is a PRN, night shift opportunity.
We are looking to hire an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced environment.
Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with breathing disorders
- Administering respiratory therapies
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Monitoring and managing mechanical ventilators for patients who require respiratory support
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Providing patient education and support on proper breathing techniques, medication usage, and lifestyle changes
Maintaining accurate and complete patient assessments, treatments, and progress documentation
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Education & Credential Requirements:
- Certificate Required
- Associate of Science Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Preferred
- Or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Preferred
- Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist Required-DOH

Key Responsibilities
The Registered Respiratory Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with breathing disorders while managing mechanical ventilators. They will also collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans and provide patient education on breathing techniques and medication.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Florida Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential and a certificate. Preferred qualifications include an Associate of Science degree and certifications in ACLS, PALS, or NRP.
