Position Purpose
Animal Clinic of The Woodlands – Alden Bridge/Cochrans Crossing is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to join our dedicated and compassionate team. We’re a well-established, full-service small animal hospital providing comprehensive care to the pets and families of The Woodlands community. Our clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and offers a supportive, collaborative environment focused on high-quality medicine and client service.
We’re looking for a veterinarian with great clinical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. This position is ideal for a doctor who enjoys practicing independently within a cohesive, team-oriented group.

Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range
USD $140,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
Key Responsibilities
The Managing Veterinarian will examine, diagnose, and treat companion animals while performing surgeries and interpreting diagnostic tests. They are also responsible for advising pet owners on care, maintaining medical records, and ensuring compliance with veterinary ethics.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a DVM or VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution and possess appropriate state licensure. Additionally, they must be eligible to obtain DEA/BNDD certification and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
