Job Description

Healthcare United is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician for a full-time, permanent cancer rehabilitation opportunity near McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Join a growing academic department with clinical and academic-track appointment options.

Provide general rehabilitation services for patients with cancer before, during, and after treatment. The role includes consultative and outpatient care, with an interest in inpatient management of patients with cancer, medical frailty, and general rehabilitation needs. Cancer rehabilitation fellowship training is desirable but not required.

Opportunities include teaching, research, and administrative leadership, supported by experienced staff and facilities. Associate Professor appointments generally require at least five years of experience and scholarly productivity; full Professor appointments generally require at least ten years and a national or international reputation. Tenure-stream appointments require documented scholarship and successful funding acquisition.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Interest in cancer rehabilitation and inpatient, consultative, and outpatient patient management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, teaching, and leadership skills.
  • Cancer rehabilitation fellowship training is desirable, not required.
  • Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Senior academic appointments require experience and scholarly credentials appropriate to rank.
  • No visa sponsorship at this time.
