Job Type: Part time, Monday- Friday 4 hours per day

The Rehabilitation Institute of South San Antonio is a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital located at 12011 SE Loop 410 Access Road in San Antonio, Texas. It’s designed for individuals recovering from serious injuries or illnesses that have affected their ability to function independently.
This new, state-of-the-art facility provides intensive, patient-focused rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
It specializes in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence after events like strokes, traumatic injuries, or surgeries.

How You’ll Contribute
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders, supporting patient recovery and communication improvement.
Essential Functions
- Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
- Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
- Strong communication skills and clinical judgement required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience: Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
- License: Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
- Certifications: CPR certification required.

Key Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders to support their recovery. They also collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care and provide education to patients and their families.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and possess a current SLP license and ASHA certification. Experience in an acute or rehabilitation setting is preferred, and CPR certification is required.
