Location: Pyramid Healthcare, Harford Inpatient 1015 Pulaski Hwy, Joppa, MD
About Us: Pyramid Healthcare at Harford Inpatient is committed to offering comprehensive and robust treatment options to adults struggling with Substance Use Disorders. Our focus on client-centered care establishes our facility as a respected leader in addiction treatment in Joppa and the greater Maryland area. Under a passionate leadership team and dedicated support staff, we assist our clients in reclaiming their freedom.
Schedule: This role is scheduled for 24 - 30 hours of on-site care per week.
Deliverables/Principal Results Expected
- Conduct history and physical examinations.
- Review laboratory results and monitor blood levels.
Manage sick calls and prepare discharge documentation (physician orders, prescriptions if you have prescriptive authority).
Provide support and resources to the adult residential program and detox as needed.
Coordinate with the primary care physician and psychiatrist when appropriate, with assistance from nursing staff.
Work with nursing staff to ensure medications are cost-effective for clients post-discharge and complete prior authorization requests for medications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Addiction Medicine and/or Family Practice Medicine preferred.
