Nurse Practitioner (Addiction Medicine) – Agawam, MA
Join Pyramid Healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) supporting adult Substance Use Disorder treatment at our new Springfield/Agawam facility. You'll deliver client-centered medical care across residential and detox levels of care, collaborating closely with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care to help clients reclaim health and independence.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive H&Ps and ongoing medical evaluations; review labs and monitor therapeutic levels.
- Manage acute issues/sick calls and develop safe, compliant discharge and transition plans.
- Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate with psychiatry and PCPs.
- Optimize post-discharge medications; assist with prior authorizations and cost-effective options.
- Document in the EHR in a timely and accurate manner; uphold quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to program improvements.
If applicable: Evaluate and manage MAT (e. g., buprenorphine) per credentialing and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Active Massachusetts license as NP (CRNP) or PA; national certification in good standing.
Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Addiction Medicine or a related clinical setting with experience treating individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and/or in adult medicine providing chronic and acute care.
Interdisciplinary collaboration experience; comfort in residential/detox settings.
Preferred
- Experience with MAT and withdrawal management protocols.
- Familiarity with medication prior authorization and cost-containment.
- EHR proficiency; participation in quality/safety initiatives.
Salary: Compensation: $155,000 and up annually, (dependent on experience, certification, experience) + full benefits
