Nurse Practitioner (Addiction Medicine) – Agawam, MA

Join Pyramid Healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) supporting adult Substance Use Disorder treatment at our new Springfield/Agawam facility. You'll deliver client-centered medical care across residential and detox levels of care, collaborating closely with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care to help clients reclaim health and independence.

We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality treatment for adults struggling with Substance Use Disorders. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive H&Ps and ongoing medical evaluations; review labs and monitor therapeutic levels.
  • Manage acute issues/sick calls and develop safe, compliant discharge and transition plans.
  • Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate with psychiatry and PCPs.
  • Optimize post-discharge medications; assist with prior authorizations and cost-effective options.
  • Document in the EHR in a timely and accurate manner; uphold quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to program improvements.

If applicable: Evaluate and manage MAT (e. g., buprenorphine) per credentialing and state regulations.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Active Massachusetts license as NP (CRNP) or PA; national certification in good standing.

Minimum of two (2) years of post-graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Addiction Medicine or a related clinical setting with experience treating individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and/or in adult medicine providing chronic and acute care.

Interdisciplinary collaboration experience; comfort in residential/detox settings.

Preferred

  • Experience with MAT and withdrawal management protocols.
  • Familiarity with medication prior authorization and cost-containment.
  • EHR proficiency; participation in quality/safety initiatives.

Salary: Compensation: $155,000 and up annually, (dependent on experience, certification, experience) + full benefits
